There are beautiful places all over the country, if people looked outside of the usual places there's loads of options

The lodge we stayed in Wales last year has quadrupled in price.

Bit the bullet and moved my holiday to next August didnt fancy risking it with there being so many unknowns at this stage.

Were due to go 1st August.
Have till 2nd July to cancel and get all money back.
So frustrating. Was so confident a few weeks ago.

Now not so sure. Just a villa with the family including grandparents for a much needed break.

If you're all vaccinated I would just go mate tbh - the only reason I rearranged was neither me or the missus have had our first jab so Its very up in the air with all the talk of vaccine passports etc.

Raises two things really:

1. We need to remember vaccines dont stop everyone from dying people still die of the flu with the flu vaccine.

2. Ideally we should wait until every adult has had at least 1 dose of vaccine before the June date goes ahead which would give a bit longer for the older/most vulnerable to have both doses.

The one dose in younger people would not only offer them some protection from severe outcomes but probably also reduce chances of long-covid. The drop in transmission rates seen even with one dose would be a huge bonus as well (assuming those features remain the same with this variant of course)

Were all vaccinated except the kids.
I'm slightly concerned if the goal posts are moved in terms of green list etc.
Who knows. Third world problems and all that.

The vaccine passport is looking like a reality,
My NHS app asked for permission for my details to be shared for travel, when you accept you now get a QR code to show on your phone or print off with you vaccine details on it.
