You said the last lockdown wasn't strict enough, and plenty of others did too tbf. Schools opened up two months back, people were able to play team sports at the end of March, have now had four weeks of mixing in beer gardens, going into shops etc

We haven't been in 'lockdown' for over a month now, yet cases have completely dropped to lower than they were last summer. The small spikes we have seen are in age groups that probably have less people vaccinated in general.

There's plenty of evidence that it's now both the impact of the last lockdown and the impact of the vaccines
I said lockdowns should remain in place until all adults were vaccinated. We now have a variant sweeping the country and it's just a matter of how infectious this one is.

In those circumstances opening up indoor hospitality next Monday will act as an accelerator on this variant. It is criminal to go ahead with these measures now.
 
Current Affairs is largely an enter at your own risk place.
I disagree. It cant be left to a point where some posters are accusing other posters (other posters in this instance who have argued for caution on health grounds) of wanting an outbreak.

That is just wrong and goes beyond the pale.
