Because - unlike in hospitality - masks are worn and people aren't in there cheek by jowl for hours.

Put your thinking cap on. It's not hard.
So keep them shut, what happens then to the people working in that sector? Not every hospitality business was lucky enough to go on the furlough scheme so people who work for them haven’t had income for months and you want that to continue just to spite the industry

But, but vaccines dont work.

/s
Tbf it probably isn’t all down to the vaccines, in early days of an outbreak we typically see the case numbers go up for younger people as they tend to have more interactions.

But that flat line in the fully vaccinated over 80s is very encouraging, especially when matched with the nursing home data we had on the effectiveness of vaccines on this variant.

What would be really great is if we could surge vaccines to Bolton for all age groups and we’d hopefully see those case numbers even in the younger cohorts come down in ~10 days post vax

Surge testing would probably be easier.

But surge vaccines would work, yes.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for Boris the clown to the right thing tho, that's sadly the problem.

Been over that loads of times. THAT is a political decision if they stop furlough / deny furlough.

My priority is health.

Yeah, "very concerning" isn't it Mr Ashton...which is why you encouraging 4 mass events containing 20,000 people without masks or social distancing was 'kin stupid beyond belief.

You nobhead.

@LinekersLegs

Andy Burnham, the mayor for Greater Manchester, has said the Joint Committee for Vaccines and Immunisations is considering a request to vaccinate all over-16s in Bolton in response to the rising infection rate.

The thing is, it wont just be Bolton soon. It'll need vaccine to cover the whole population to try and limit the advance of this variant.

The variant broke out in clusters over a week ago. They were urged to deal with that with communal surges in testing and isolation. But Hancock stated that theyld just do targetted test on individuals. Thats why we end up here right now.

The schools plus reopened indoor serving in bars and restaurants will spread this up and down the country.

School children often pass borders now?

But yeah, typical inaction from The Death Cult, when it could have been dealt with within a week.

Thankfully Dave, vaccines will protect those that need it.
