Current Affairs Coronavirus Thread - Serious stuff !!!

I'm not saying it's not a real thing.

I'm saying every day more and more symptoms that cause death are reported to the extent that anything is being put down as a cause of death seemingly. But these things are common in unhealthy people to begin with, south of the elderly.

I can see how someone 70 or above is being adversely affected by the virus because their body won't be able to fight it. However in the case of the poor 59 year old, he had no contact with anyone and still ended up with it.

Is it at all possible in the cases that make the headlines , that they maybe contract it just before they die hence why they detect it? These people aren't going into hospital with respiratory issues which is a pretty big effect of the virus.

If they were asymptomatic for the viral symptoms in the US or UK, they wouldn't get tested so they had to have symptoms.
There is a specific cluster of symptoms, complications, and Xray/CT scan and lab results related to the virus. A doctor can easily determine what ultimately led to the death.
This specific group of findings was how they first identified that we had a new disease going on.

I take it back sorry @Bruce Wayne It touched a nerve with his comment and my owl having died.
These are tense times tbf. I’ve always liked the current affairs part of this forum but taken a bit of a step back due to the intense situation we find ourselves in.
Sorry to hear about your owl btw. Huge fan of owls. Saw a cracking short eared up close a month or so ago. My brother reckons he saw an eagle owl (in NE England) chasing a crow. Reckon he was steaming myself.

Lives in the NE? Likely.

This morning my work had an event management company in to crowd control.
The security are stopping huge thefts, as people are skint or know they will be skint soon.
The amount of people this week queuing at 6am is incredible.
With regards to the oldies hour, enforcing it is difficult. It's all new to everyone. Old people bringing family and carers into the shop was then creating arguments of "you shouldn't be in here your too young"
The British public just don't like being told No.
Seeing an elderly gentleman genuinely in tears because he couldn't get any Baked Beans is just a ridiculous place to be in.

This afternoon is quieter and there are nappies, baby milk etc on the shelves.
Like lids have said earlier, the beers and ciders are now empty though ahead of the weekend.
This stuff is insane mate.

Maybe its living in a country which has been invaded by anyone who fancies it for abar 500 years but people here just shut up and get on with it.

We live in a block of 65 flats, probably half are elderly so we have a rota to go to the shop for them. We have communal sanitizer in the lifts. My mate is sick on the 7th floor so we went the pub by Skype tonight.

The shops are keeping space between people by giving everybody a 10 min time slot to get in and check out. Nobody argues, they just get on with it.
