I'd highly recommend going for one final pint in the greatest British invention tonight - The pub

Because they're won't be any left when this thing finally blows over

How will you feel if, in the next two weeks you have contact with someone who then goes on to be seriously ill, or worse dies ? You might never have symptoms, but could still pass the virus on to them, and might kill them as a result.

Unlikely ? Yes, but that will happen in some cases. So, if you can live with that possibility for the rest of your life, then get yourself down the pub, but, if you do, do the rest of the population a favour and avoid all contact with at risk groups for the next couple of weeks.

Not wishing this to turn into a popularity contest but I disagree. Have a fair bit of respect for @Bruce Wayne despite disagreeing with him on many subjects. I think the mumsnet ban has affected your judgement.

I’ve been happy to criticise this government , a lot , and on occasion it’s response but if she’s been hospitalised and they felt she had the virus I’m puzzled at face value why she wouldn’t be tested . Without knowing details I’d be tempted to think there is a medical reason or decision behind that . Obviously I’ve no clue

I can't answer for NHS, but good chance she wouldn't be tested in US (depending on the local supply) either. There simply aren't enough tests

I've been meaning to read his books for quite a while but alas I've never been able to get around to it.
Definitely worth your time, as they are very thought provoking books. I read Sapiens and Homo Deus sometime last year, and have 21 Lessons sitting on a shelf at home waiting to read it.
