I am very wary of the prospects of keeping a lid on this with those two dates (May 17th and 21st June) coming into view.

I think we'll begin to see just how well the vaccines are coping after 2 months of pretty much old normal.

I think the evidence from all sorts of places confirms the vaccines are sound.

Its the "what if" that keeps me on my toes.

They have to open at 1/2 capacity from the 17th

People stay in pubs for hours. People stay in restaurants for hours. People - by and large - dont stay in supermarkets for hours.
People dont wear masks in pubs. People dont wear masks in restaurants. People do wear masks in supermarkets.

It's not that difficult to understand the difference...it REALLY 'kin isn't.

But if they're dying of Covid19 that's a difference, isn't it...given the vaccines are meant to stop hospitlisation and death from the virus?

And if they're dying in smaller numbers of it now after a 5 month lockdown then a lot more will die of it when the autumn and winter arrive after a summer of almost "old normal".

In fact, the estimates I've seen from those in charge of tackling the pandemic is that we may see upwards of 30,000 per year dying from Covid19 even with the projection that no more variants compromise the vaccines...that's 10,000 more than Vallance said we'd be doing we'll to stay below for the duration of the pandemic back in March 2020.

I say again in relation to the GOT Independent SAGE group's assertion "It's over"..........IS IT BOLLOCKS.

In fact, the esitimates Ilve seen form those in charge of tackling the pandemic is that we may see upwrds of 30,000 per year dying from Covid19 even with the projection that no more variants compromise the vaccines.
