I dont see how we can expect a spike from last week to this. There's nowhere open indoors yet and the case rate in Liverpool is down, and has been consistently going down for weeks and weeks. If in the next two weeks a spike happens then that's at least proof that it's not the way forward as a method (no masks / no social distancing) regardless of hospitalisation.

We had a spike last week down here. A 100% increase. Up to 4 cases, in a week.

BTW, I totally agree with you re SD/masks. Would have little issue if that continued.

Hospital figures - 25 deaths were announced today, up 17 on yesterday and up 4 on last Wednesday. All 25 deaths were in English hospitals, up 18 on yesterday and up 5 on last week. The 7 day rolling average rises slightly to 13.43

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 27 deaths were announced today, up 23 on yesterday and down 2 on last Wednesday. The 7 day rolling average falls to 12.86

For the 60 day cut off, 65 deaths were announced today, up 58 on yesterday and down 18 on last Wednesday. The 7 day rolling average falls to 28.57

Haven’t seen any hospitalization data

"Officials at the press conference gave little detail on what could be behind the infection surge other than to say people were taking fewer precautions against the virus than before and the surge may be due to celebrations after Easter."

The reason we need to see the idiot May 17th indoor openings of pubs and restaurants stopped.

We will see a huge surge here before the end of May.
