We see what happens and if something bad happens then we'll probably see those restrictions tighten - possibly back to outdoor seating only etc.

It all depends on the data.

Until we have it, we don't know.

The good news is that, unlike last year, we aren't going into this with no protection. 50m people in the UK have had a jab. Almost 16m of those people have had both doses - and those are the most vulnerable either because they're elderly, have underlying problems or are frontline NHS workers.

So the vaccines offer that extra protection so that we aren't getting massive amounts of hospitalisations and/or deaths while we see how opening up slowly and cautiously goes.
Dont be banking on the vaccines.

What happens May 17th onward? That's a massive gear change.

If you cared to step out of your bunker every now and again, you’d see that by and large, the general public ( proles ) aren’t really sticking to the rules surrounding going into each other’s houses anymore and haven’t been for quite some time.

Relatives visiting relatives, friends visiting friends, kids parties, social get togethers etc.

My missus has been to a “ do “ in mates house for the past three weekends and is going to a hen party at her mates this weekend. ( I’ve reported her to the Stasi and I’m just waiting for the door to get booted in and her taken away for re educating )

If we were going to get a surge it’d be happening already.

As much as you don’t want to admit it, das disaster gnats piss is doing it’s job.

Maybe that's why we still have 2,000 new cases per day and the infection rate is going up again in parts of Merseyside and North West England?

Well done proles.

......just had my 2nd Pfizer jab & got a sticker for being a good boy.

Have to say, as far as my experience goes the process has been very efficient.
I've had it confirmed I'll be going back the same place for my 2nd in a few weeks time. I'll let you know of any improvement in what was an alarmingly lax system.

....had mine at Broadgreen Hospital. No waiting about; registered, jabbed & recorded on both occasions. Might be different elsewhere.

The rate has gone up by a tiny fraction in some areas. Generally its been extremely consistently low.
