It needs to be suppressed further...which is why LCC / LCRs Covid19 spreading pilot scheme last week was never warranted.

A lot of the Merseyside hospitals have zero covid patients in ICU. The scheme last week was very timely. We need more events and more opening up as deaths are now extremely low. Some measures may be needed in September/October but thats a separate matter.

This reminds me I need to book some indoor pubs for the WC 17th.

Do you think they all 4 events needed to be in Liverpool, or do you think that was asking for trouble?

Maybe that's why we still have 2,000 new cases per day and the infection rate is going up again in parts of Merseyside and North West England?

Well done proles.

Where’s it going up in Merseyside, news to me ?

It’s never really gone down in those parts of the North West has it.

If you care to actually look at those figures, all of them are below the NW rate, even Warrington which is the closest as of yesterday. 7 areas are below the England rate with 5 at half or less, and 6 are in the 200s in terms of national ranking

Not as we want them though.

Are countries able to pause their rollout to provide assistance or will this mess the whole thing up?
Doubt it would make any difference. Once you see exponential growth like that vaccines won't help, as it would take weeks for them to be sent to India, distributed, used, and then there is a few weeks delay before the vaccine provides any kind of immunity... hellish situation.
