My kids are similar ages, they had AZ and are fine. Now that the EU countries have stopped slagging it off there is almost no mention of blood clots. It turns out most of the clots were running Germany and France......
You haven’t been tuning into Canada then who managed to get everyone upset this week!

@Billy Dean The most useful data I’ve seen is this from 23rd April that helps put into context the risks/rewards based on age/infection rate, haven’t seen any further updates on incident rate.

I got the J&J which also has been flagged for a rare blood clot issue and don’t regret my decision but I did do my homework and was comfortable with the risk/reward - I also made sure I knew the signs of a blood clot so could seek medical advice early if I experienced anything.

Contacting your doctor might be a good idea as they will know your personal circumstances and what would be the best approach.

Anyone got the most recent stats/news on AZ and blood clots in the brain and stuff? I've been keeping a wide berth mostly from the latest covid news recently. Here in Germany AZ is only recommended to over 60s. But it seems the over 60s are turning their noses up at it leaving lots left over for younger people to take. I'm about to register for the waiting list for left over jabs and it asks if you're willing to have AZ. I think I will but a little bit concerned about all the brain clots and stuff. I guess it should be fine though. I'm 41 and I think in the UK people my age and even younger have been having AZ right? Any advice @Neiler ?
Can only speak from personal experience but I am 35 and had my first AZ jab 8 weeks ago and I’m fine. My personal advice would be to take any vaccine they offer you as the risks are so small.

As @LinekersLegs says, seek proper medical advice, if you’re worried.

Not from someone who has flip flopped all over the place since day one on this, has no medical background whatsoever and is trying to use the pandemic to further his own warped agenda.

Apart from SputnikV and anything from China obviously.....

The Russia one looks to be pretty effective against Covid tbh, although the live cold virus is sloppy engineering

The China one is poor on 1st dose and overall not as effective in avoiding infection but it does seem to help in keeping hospitalizations/deaths down

They wouldn’t be my first choice but I’d probably choose them if the only ones available and I certainly would have for my parents given their age risk for Covid.
