I work outside of the Uk and travel roughly every 5-6 weeks, so your saying I shouldn’t be allowed to go to work??
That would be filed under "Trade" in my book.

Masks will be here to stay for a lot of people for a long time..
Wow, just wowHard lines.
Didn't say you were mate....though you're lying down with dogs with fleas on this issue on here right now.
Look at India and places like it. Look at the UK in the winter. Isn't it enough we can do what we can right now in order to get on with life? Do we simply HAVE TO have people indoors en masse (which it will be after May 17th) in order to 'live'?
My point is a simple one at root: why invite another surge and mega death rates again? WHY?!?!?!
Several countries currently struggling..*looks around the globe - globe on fire wioth a rampant killer virus...looks at at UK border controls*
Yes, let's open everywhere up.
I took my youngest for a bike ride last Sunday morning. The model boat and model car clubs were in the park. The crazy golf was open and busy. People sat outside small cafes having a drink, it was fantastic to see and indeed did make me smile!!True, I dont know, hence I said "my observations", based on your disregard for anyone with the face to start a business or employ folk. And total disdain for folk who will lose possibly a life time of work through no fault of their own.
Hard Lines I think the phrase was.
Well my observation of anyone who holds those views is they must be insulated from such concerns.
As for the future, all things covid, I remain in the cautious and careful camp. As restrictions get lifted, infections will rise, as sure as a busy motorway has more accidents than a quiet one does. But wearing a seat belt will help.
I will continue in my little bubble, but I do smile when I see folk starting to live a bit more life over the last few weeks.
Sorry I meant through choice not enforced!Be arsed going a concert wearing a mask would rather stay at home tbh.
My words and those who speak like me will keep her safe; your words and those who speak like you will possibly kill her.
My conscience is clear. Is yours?
My gym opens again tomorrow for first time since Christmas eve. Feels good to be able to do something pretty normal and get out and about in the evenings again.
Not sure Boris is.We all agree that the protection of life is paramount.
We're all united on that.
Spot on. It's all about balancing the risks to health against the risks to society. Anybody out there spouting nonsense about either just opening everything up without a care for health or punitively restricting certain sectors of the economy despite the vaccine should be called out for what they are - dogmatic fools.Health is impacted disproportionately by deprivation.
The best way to protect health short term is to vaccinate, maintain as many hygiene factors as possible (masks, distancing, hand washing) and use the T&T system to its fullest effect.
If we ignore the associated impact on economy (local business and hospitality) we risk causing huge issues for already deprived communities and creating greater inequality as a result.
Economic crisis will almost certainly follow this pandemic and it would be irresponsible to focus solely on immediate health risk without consideration to what might follow.
Sensible reopening coupled with good public health systems is the best option and in each instance those decisions will have to be based on a range of risks - not whatever scenario suits you best.
This is why we need covid passports, otherwise it's either masks and or reduced capacity, but the problem with reduced cap is the maths dont stack up, venues will struggle to brake even on the bigger showsBe arsed going a concert wearing a mask would rather stay at home tbh.
