TBH mate you are just as clueless if you think 3 million people are still shielding. Many will be, but many aren't. I for one am no longer shielding. I know many others who are not either. You need to stop making blanket statements and speaking for others.Clueless.
My Mother is still very much shielding, shes had 1 jab and waiting on her 2nd, I suspect she will still shield, sadly this thing has terrified her and will probably continue to for a very long time.
But IMO, she has nothing to fear atm.
What a statement.
There's a world in between 'existing' and being reckless. It just isn't that black and white.
This is a pandemic. So just let me say it loud and clear for the hard of learning who after 15 months of carnage still dont get it:
THIS THING IS STILL WITH US; IT IS NOWHERE NEAR OVER. RESPECT IT AND AVOID IT AND AVOID GIVING IT TO OTHERS.
You keep mentioning the 127,000 people dead that figure won’t rise much more than that. Yes there will still be some more Covid deaths but not to the scale were we can’t live a normal life from now on. We won’t get to zero like we won’t get to zero with the flu. It’s under control now and the sooner people can start living a life again the better. We don’t live in a perfect virus free world and we never will.Yeah. I must be mad.
127,000 people dead; a human catastrophe in this country and nowhere near over.
What am I thinking of. I wish I was sane like you.
maybe some assistance will come from the labs.
Clueless.
Most restaurants and pubs don’t have an outside facility due to their size, only one of the 4 pubs closest to me have reopened because they have a beer garden, the other 3 remain closed meaning they are losing hundreds if not thousands a month paying electricity, tv and having their supplies go to waste. You can do all that and still not step indoors and get (and then spread) a deadly virus. <<<< My point.
We can all catch Covid.. But if no ones dying from it, what is the problem? The vaccines will help. But only help.
Indoor events will spread virus - especially amongst half the population not vaccinated.
But I do indeed demand you and others answer me this pretty reasonable question: why is it necessary for some people to have to sit indoors for hours, cheek by jowl with others, just so they can experience the old normal - when the ultimate outcome will be people dying of covid19 next autumn and winter because the cases have rocketed again?
Is that really worth watching some poxy band that sells about 10 'kin downloads in their whole career, or for some dullard who's too lazy to cook to stick a plateful of crap in their gobs at some divvy's restaurant, or some spanner to get pissed every other night. Their 'right' to do that overrides other's right to life?
Let me remind you: 3 million vulnerable people still very much shielding despite the vaccine roll out are dependent on all of us showing some common sense and discipline.
Please show your data for this..The vaccines will help. But only help.

The ONS has admitted that ATLEAST 25% of the deaths were not related to Covid in any way...Yeah. I must be mad.
