Most restaurants and pubs don’t have an outside facility due to their size, only one of the 4 pubs closest to me have reopened because they have a beer garden, the other 3 remain closed meaning they are losing hundreds if not thousands a month paying electricity, tv and having their supplies go to waste.

Plus the ones that are open at the are totally reliant on the weather.

They’ve been lucky so far, as the weather has been generally good, with yesterday being the first properly cold day and as such all the places by me where quiet.

You’re wasting your time with though him mate, as for some bizarre reason he’s never properly explained, he’s got this real hatred of the whole hospitality industry.

Maybe he got the Shiites from a dodgy meal or got barred from a few pubs, who knows!

TBH mate you are just as clueless if you think 3 million people are still shielding. Many will be, but many aren't. I for one am no longer shielding. I know many others who are not either. You need to stop making blanket statements and speaking for others.

People need to be sensible for a bit longer yet but it is not the grim picture it was a few months ago.
...and last summer wasn't the grim picture it was last March and April...but then it became grim again, didn't it?

I think you're purposely misrepresenting my view here (and you're not alone in that). My view is "Great. The infection rate is low. Get out and do more and see others and go into retail as long as you're masked up and socally distancing. Go and have a drink and eat out, as long as it's outdoors." But make no mistake - WHEN THIS GOES INDOORS FOR MUSIC / SPORT EVENTS AND HOSPITALITY THE INFECTION RATES WILL CLIMB AND CLIMB...SO WHY DO IT?!?!?!

...I make no apologies for the capitals...seeing as my words are twisted by the usual suspects on here (who are usually Tory-lite apologists).

Bless her.
And this is the point @davek will always ignore. She's probably petrified in part due to the nature of such crass statements made by the likes of Dave.
My words and those who speak like me will keep her safe; your words and those who speak like you will possibly kill her.

My conscience is clear. Is yours?

Please show your data for this..
What, show the data for stuff like eat out to spread it about last year - the numb nuts policy that killed tens of thousands of people just to put cash in the bank accounts of restaurateurs and pub owners?

Do I really need to show the 'workings out' for that well established fact?

It isn't rocket science is it? Outdoors = ok. Indoors = spreads infection efficiently.

It's as simple as that, and if you argue the point on that then you'll be arguing alone.

Hard lines.

Hang on, havent you been losing your head for the past year at seeing groups of people outdoors?

Moving the goalposts again are we?

Outdoors and congregated together and at the very high point of infection. Yes.

See the difference between then and now?
