Current Affairs Coronavirus Thread - Serious stuff !!!

The vaccines will help. But only help.

Indoor events will spread virus - especially amongst half the population not vaccinated.

But I do indeed demand you and others answer me this pretty reasonable question: why is it necessary for some people to have to sit indoors for hours, cheek by jowl with others, just so they can experience the old normal - when the ultimate outcome will be people dying of covid19 next autumn and winter because the cases have rocketed again?

Is that really worth watching some poxy band that sells about 10 'kin downloads in their whole career, or for some dullard who's too lazy to cook to stick a plateful of crap in their gobs at some divvy's restaurant, or some spanner to get pissed every other night. Their 'right' to do that overrides other's right to life?

Let me remind you: 3 million vulnerable people still very much shielding despite the vaccine roll out are dependent on all of us showing some common sense and discipline.

Who are these three million that are shielding, as my youngest lad, who’s in the highest group for vulnerability, had his letter a few weeks back, saying he was free to hit the town, neck swill and eat as much muck as wanted.

Give it up comrade.

My Mother is still very much shielding, shes had 1 jab and waiting on her 2nd, I suspect she will still shield, sadly this thing has terrified her and will probably continue to for a very long time.

But IMO, she has nothing to fear atm.

Isn’t the shielding advice over now?

Yeah. I must be mad.

127,000 people dead; a human catastrophe in this country and nowhere near over.

What am I thinking of. I wish I was sane like you.
Yes we all know it's bad mate and we know we aren't in the clear just yet but you are literally obsessed man, you spend all day on here chatting about impending doom yet you have no proof this is going to happen. What's the end game for you Dave? Do you want us to give up life as we know it forever? Vivid is never fully going away. Take a break mate, go out have a pint, get a good curry. Take a break from obsessing about vivid, something you can not control all day. Enjoy life and yrs I do believe you are obsessed and should seek help

She’s shielding through choice, which isn’t the same as being “ officially notified “ to shield.

Anyone would think that he doesn’t want all this to end for some reason lol

Vulnerable who have been vaccinated are out there living life. They’re not staying indoors anymore. Nobody is. Well, apart from you.

You’re on a different universe.

Its life, simple.
Relationships are born. Industries thrive.
People develop and grow.
How sad would it be to not be able to do these things and then your times up.

There's more to life than existing.

What a statement.

There's a world in between 'existing' and being reckless. It just isn't that black and white.

This is a pandemic. So just let me say it loud and clear for the hard of learning who after 15 months of carnage still dont get it:

THIS THING IS STILL WITH US; IT IS NOWHERE NEAR OVER. RESPECT IT AND AVOID IT AND AVOID GIVING IT TO OTHERS.

You can do all that and still not step indoors and get (and then spread) a deadly virus. <<<< My point.
