When I got proper ill, docs “well you the youngest we’ve ever seen with this issue, by decades”
Even when I had dental work last week, dentist “never seen this happen in all my 21 years of practice”

I’m proper Gbamin when it comes to medical stuff.. being an Evertonian deffo dosent help either.

Not saying this glibly or without recognizing what it would mean to a lot of people, but given what is happening over there (and what was done to Pakistan and Bangladesh) it would almost bring the notion of the red list into disrepute if India isn't added over the next couple of weeks.

Had it. All my family had it. It was the worst 15 days of my life, for all of us. I take everything I said back regarding this disease while being dangerous also not much of a problem as a whole. It was so distressing. Thankfully me and my brothers are all youngish people, and my dad recovered nicely following the terrible first 5 days. Thank god.

But price and logistics can't be ignored as we live in the real world rather than some theoretical place.

I had a choice and was aware of the potential issue of clotting for JNJ since it was in the same family as AZ - I still chose to take it.

We are still comparing apples and pears here. The claim I made (based on your example of the pill and clotting) was that - all things being equal in terms of price and supply - a manufacturer supplying a vaccine that has notoriety for clotting would be swerved and left in ruins in the market. Obviously that doesn't apply with vaccines, because there is no choice for the vast majority. This isn't a market situation. And in your fortunate American situation where a choice is available, means that you can choose to take J&J over and above Moderna or Pfizer. But that's not the same as choosing to take AZ over those other two. The U.S. Government wont hand you that choice because they know they can swerve it and still vaccinate your population...they see that this is a substantial issue and wont go there.

Hospital figures - 35 deaths were announced today, up 23 on yesterday and up 19 on last Tuesday. 33 deaths were in English hospitals, up 22 on yesterday and up 21 on last week. The 7 day rolling average rises to 33.86

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 23 deaths were announced today, up 10 on yesterday and up 3 on last Tuesday. The 7 day rolling average rises slightly to 34.43

For the 60 day cut off, 75 deaths were announced today, up 65 on yesterday and up 49 on last Tuesday. The 7 day rolling average rises to 79.57

It‘s a big number alright but there are 1,366,000,000 of them....just saying....

In terms of cases per million people they've got three times as many as Pakistan, and more than twice as many as Bangladesh. They've got more deaths per million as well and are on a more severe rate of increase over the past few weeks too.
