Bollocks, watch the numbers plummet - conveniently at the same time as a supply shortage of course.
How very convenient.
Well with a supply shortage the numbers plummet anyway.

Oh aye know.You are fine.....
The problem, in my opinion , is that they didn't need to make this announcement yet mate. We know there is a link but we don't know what that link is yet. The vast majority of cases are in women and a lot of those are over 30. So why all under 30s, and why announce it now when the majority of under 30s won't be getting vaccinated for another couple of months at least. They've only been looking at these cases for about a month. Another couple of months would enable the scientists to drill down more accurately and hopefully come up with a specific grouping based on proper data, rather than pick out a whole demographic. Can see that argument but as an under 30 myself my chances of dying of Covid is very low also.
I would still take AZ myself like but I think its understandable by the authorities whilst they investigate further.
More than likely it will change again before we get to that age group its changing of messages all the time with the vaccines certainly with the EU.
You’re typically one of the few people speaking sense but you’ve completely lost the plot here.Bollocks, watch the numbers plummet - conveniently at the same time as a supply shortage of course.

Will this impact confidence? Undoubtably. Are they overreacting? Almost definitely. Are they conspiring to cover up supply shortages for a private company? Obviously bloody not.
Politically it's very convenient for a vaccine to be unavailable to an upcoming age group cohort as it gives a reason for the slowdown in the prorgram overall.
It's also convenient politically to throw the EU a bone.
I don't disagree.I broadly agree with you, but we need to make a clear distinction here - this isn’t a government decision. The idea that Johnson would want to implant any doubt in people’s minds over AZ is ludicrous. Like it or not, this is a result of having an independent regulatory agency.
What benefit would that be for anyone?
I think they said the evidence so far is only after the first jab, while the number of second jabs is much lower the advice is have the second....

Sorry but this is just utter nonsense. It was literally the government who announced that we faced supply shortages several weeks ago. So, why would the MHRA conspire to give an excuse for the government to use, when it was literally the bloody government who warned about a potential slowdown?Politically it's very convenient for a vaccine to be unavailable to an upcoming age group cohort as it gives a reason for the slowdown in the prorgram overall.
