No, I never mentioned COBRA before...

:coffee:
Ha ha. Sorry. I was so busy looking up what sophistry meant I totally missed that. But I've answered it now, yes?

I know what they say. The point is, we do not know/we are not told what they died of. Having a trace of one thing in one's system is not an indicator that they died from that one thing. There are no doubt (sometimes multiple) other things that actually cause death. If you cannot see that, then I simply shake my head in disbelief at you...

So much stuff going on with this. Vaccine bitchiness, (its a thing in their community), political discomfort/diversion, uncertainty.

But, from Germany, (a trusted source for some I believe). "If 1 million folk are vaccinated, 12 would expect to get blood clots, and 4 would die. If 1 million aged 60 plus got covid, 20000 would die".

Chuck in the known risks re platelets and clots for stuff like the Pill, (taken generally by younger women), and also that actual covid can cause similar issues.

What would you do?

An established link but they just don't know what it is as yet.

Proper established that.
They dont know why - when two things cone into contact - it causes a problem...and yet, there it is. Itls happening. Now they come up with an explantion for it.

Observe
Collect Data
Explain Data
Act on Data

Not really mate, one thing we all accept about medicine is it isn't perfect for everyone and unfortunately we are in a situation where we all need to take this medicine. It will never be perfect and casualties will happen, even if the vaccine had taken 10 years, casualties and bad side effects will still be present for a select few.
The vaccines are new onto the scene. They are literally months old. They have been given emergency licenses. The medication you describe that could have damaging side effects are tested for years before being allowed near the public. They refine and thereby minimize the risks to us all from taking them.

In short: you're comparing apples and pears.

Wait until the investigations are complete which can pin down EXACTLY who is affected. That way the risk is diminished further.

I'm not really, I did say due to the pandemic they've had too rush it through, would you prefer to stay on lockdown for 10 years, I wouldn't.

Ild prefer every adult was vaccinated before any reopenings. That way the chances of a vaccine neutralising variant developing is minimized...and it will only take another two months, so we're told.

Doesn't that make more sense to you rather than opening up before 21st June everywhere?

Yes I do as it goes, makes much more sense to wait another month for the roll out to be almost done, I do agree with that.

Think it's safe to say that in the UK, lockdown has been the biggest driving factor in getting cases down.

However, schools opened up fully again a month ago, and people - as a lot of posters in here liked to scream and shout about - were and are still going into places of work etc over the last 3 months too.

Think we're now probably starting to see real world results of the vaccination programme too, on top of the results of lockdown.
No coincidence either Toff that we've been doing 800k tests a day in schools and getting quite a few testing positive. The last weeks run of low positive results follows many English schools being closed for Easter.
