Humanity is the greatest threat to everything else, tbf.

Get rid of us all.
We have killed off that many different species and destroyed vast areas of the planet (the oceans are our latest project followed closely by the 2 poles ) that its only a matter of time that we decimate the human population.
If we do not succeed then mother nature will help us out

Just not true.

Without lockdowns we’d be at half a million dead or more in the UK.
A lot more I'd imagine but death from covid is not the only thing that needs to be considered, peoples long term mental health adding to a mental health system that already couldn't cope, the financial implications of all this along with job losses meaning people will lose their homes, along with the deaths causes by lockdown from late crucial diagnosis of treatable diseases, data is not released but suicide rates will likely be higher.

255 people in hospital in Ireland with Covid, the people most at risk from a serious illness have mostly been vaccinated. Due to the madness of keeping us locked down and government officials talking to us like we are 4 the government are losing the people, towns are getting busy traffic is backed up to pre covid levels, all stick no carrot. No dates or plan for getting out of this have been given while o accepta date would be difficultto give but maybe once 50% of the populationare vaccinated a number to let us know when this ends. I'm giving it until the May bank holiday weekend and I'm done with it if they haven't released a concrete plan. They did release a living with covid plan last year but that's been abandoned for what looks like a hiding from covid plan.

Just rang my Dad to see how he was after getting the vaccine yesterday, he said "I'm not feeling great I think I'm having a reaction to it" I said yea some people dont feel too great the day after, then he tells me "I probably should have gone home and took it easy after getting it, but I went to the supermarket and bought a bottle of whiskey and drank it in the garden".. lord jesus no wonder you're sick.

Top fella lol

I mean if there's a way we can go about reducing flu deaths we should. It's just got to be a way which doesn't also stop all normality and force people to stay at home.

There's got to be a balance between the two.

I can't imagine masks etc in shops and supermarkets are going anywhere for the foreseable. Even if not mandatory, I imagine loads of people will still wear them.

Once they are not mandatory they will be gone quicker than you can say ‘atishoo’.......

Vietnam: population 94 million; Covid19 deaths - 35.

Incredible.

Achieved through mass testing and tracing and strict quarantining, which has kept its cases to just 2,617.

No wonder they kicked Uncle Sam's arse. The sheer discipline of these people.
They have done just over 2.5 million tests, 26 thousand tests per million... hardly mass testing.

I see Bangladesh, Pakistan, the Philippines and Kenya have been added to the red list countries - adding the first three is going to cause a lot of extra expense for people who probably won't be able to afford it. One would hope they'd have come up with an alternative to the £1500 a person stay at an airside hotel by now.

Compared to the approx 8 million tests per WEEK in the U.K. and a total of over 120 million.......
