You forgot bigot in the afternoonStadium/Building planning expert by day, Virologist by night. What a guy.
Lost me at intelligentThe most tedious point of Daves argument to lock down to stop covid is that he seems to think covid is the only health issue that is impacted by lockdowns.
For an intelligent guy, its a pretty big point he misses.
It's not flu but it has to be treated in the same way as flu going forward.I agree with your 2nd point.
"We" have spent a long time telling everybody that its not the flu, now this plantpot gives them ammo.
But thankfully it doesn't matter as much now, we have this virus on the run.
Well, not gonna open up that can of worms.
But that said, there is no doubt that the simple actions of SD and masks in shops must have helped.
and @peteblue as Whitty says, we've stumbled on the cure for flu - and that's lockdown.
But, it's not feasible.
As @Tubey pointed out a few months ago, it's about a trade off. It's what we 'accept'. Now, that's crap, but it's also part of life. People get ill, people die. We don't stop life for flu because it's simply not feasible - it'd ruin more lives than it would save.
So we have a jab every year which provides extra protection to those that may need it (my mum and dad are included in this so I'm not saying it as someone totally unaffected). Now luckily with COVID, we have vaccines which are even more efficient and offer even more protection than the standard flu jab, so it's a good start.
People seem to think that their parents want to live forever, but as I found with mine that’s not always true. I’ve said before my old fella would have took this intravenously if he couldand @peteblue as Whitty says, we've stumbled on the cure for flu - and that's lockdown.
