The world is gone completely crazy, in ireland there is less than 300 in hospital with covid, yes we are under level 5 lockdown the highest level until at least mid May when it will be reviewed. Governments world wide have lost the run of themselves the WHO said last year that lockdown should not be the primary way to fight Covid yet that's what we've done in Ireland level 5 since October with 3 weeks off over Christmas.
The consequences of lockdown are going to be multiples worse than anything covid would do.. my son is 5 and hes developed a stammer, we've rang a few speech and language therapists but they are all booked up with children mainly stammering since the start of covid restrictions, is this now going to be life long for him? I know a stammer is not the end of the world and there's children out there with far far worse things to deal with but he's my son and I'm worried about him.
There has been 3000 less cancer diagnosis in Ireland compared to a normal year, that's roughly 3000 people who have missed the crucial early diagnosis.
