People seem to think that their parents want to live forever, but as I found with mine that’s not always true. I’ve said before my old fella would have took this intravenously if he could
I mean if there's a way we can go about reducing flu deaths we should. It's just got to be a way which doesn't also stop all normality and force people to stay at home.

There's got to be a balance between the two.

I can't imagine masks etc in shops and supermarkets are going anywhere for the foreseable. Even if not mandatory, I imagine loads of people will still wear them.

Why? Give it a few years and we'll all be told that global overpopulation is the greatest threat to humanity. The more people there are the bigger the chances of another pandemic, mother nature will be working on it, and eventually she'll come up with something that will thin the herd quite significantly, and there'll be little we can do about it.

In my opinion it’s the biggest threat of all. starvation is quite a killer

Humanity is the greatest threat to everything else, tbf.

Get rid of us all.

State of this country and its Government, disgraceful.

It's every country, police in Belgium used water cannons, batons and tear gas to disperse a crowd in a park Belgium yesterday, it wasn't even a protest there was no violence until the police showed up, only 1 group showed up prepared for violence and it wasn't the crowd out enjoying the sun.
The world is gone completely crazy, in ireland there is less than 300 in hospital with covid, yes we are under level 5 lockdown the highest level until at least mid May when it will be reviewed. Governments world wide have lost the run of themselves the WHO said last year that lockdown should not be the primary way to fight Covid yet that's what we've done in Ireland level 5 since October with 3 weeks off over Christmas.
The consequences of lockdown are going to be multiples worse than anything covid would do.. my son is 5 and hes developed a stammer, we've rang a few speech and language therapists but they are all booked up with children mainly stammering since the start of covid restrictions, is this now going to be life long for him? I know a stammer is not the end of the world and there's children out there with far far worse things to deal with but he's my son and I'm worried about him.
There has been 3000 less cancer diagnosis in Ireland compared to a normal year, that's roughly 3000 people who have missed the crucial early diagnosis.

Just not true.

Without lockdowns we’d be at half a million dead or more in the UK.

Getting people to wear masks in winter months and asking people to wash their hands more often would be very simple ways to do that.

Influenza and infectious intestinal disease, across winter months have been extremely low.
