Have you ever been to South East Asia?

I didn't see much social distancing on my trips out there.
They dont need to because of the spot on track and test regime. They also have mask wearing as second nature to them.

We need discipline. Their tyoe of discipline. But what we have is a load beauts demanding the freedom to get pissed and spew up their fast food in gutters into the early hours of the morning.

We are screwed with this government and the millenials and gen-z lot who predominate now.

The latest results from a random swab testing survey by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) show that coronavirus infection levels among children aged 11 to 16 have risen slightly in England, with 0.43 per cent of secondary school age children testing positive in the week ending 20 March compared to 0.31 per cent the previous week.

LOCK IT DOWN, 0.12% IS HARD TO COPE WITH
Random swabs. Kids might not even show symptoms.
They get it, get over it and have immunity.
Vulnerable will be vaccinated by the time people will be mixing indoors.

It's not like we are racing out of lockdown.
The pace is dictated by the vaccine rollout hospital capacity. Both of these numbers are steadily going in the right direction.

So you've never been to South East Asia then?

It's the velocity from week to week. The school easter break will only delay the acceleration in school infections.

I dont know why you and others are sceptical of me when I say the cases are going to spike again...the Chief Medical Officer and the top Tories all concede it will quickly surge again over the summer.

You mean just like last Summer, when it was almost completely flat and that was without anyone being vaccinated ???

Wot what?

Wot you on about?

Scientists have said for weeks that cases will rise with schools and that. Same scientists are pretty relaxed about variants and the vaxxes.

You cant stop a virus in a matter of months, but you can minimise the impact in terms of hospital admissions and deaths, via the vaxxes.

Over time, our own immune systems will be educated to protect us on their own, till then, vax is the way ahead. BTW, I have no issue with SD and masks as next autumn and winter approach.

You’re starting to come across as increasingly desperate for the U.K. to remain in some of lockdown forever.

The variants will outstrip the vaccine.

The way things are shaping up we'll be seeing 3/4 vaccine shots per year for Covid19 given the way it can mutate. Logistically it'as almost impossible to keep on top of, and physically - how can we ask 80 year olds to get 3/4 vaccines per year?

The only way to get on top of covid19 is to be disciplined and remain socially distanced, mask wearing, wash hands regularly and have a vigilant track and trace system that imposes a lot more control over people who contract the virus than it does now.

Vaccines will take the edge off the surges, they wont prevent them.
Where are you coming up with this nonsense?
