The dead are dead mate. It’s a terrible thing to say but there’s nothing we can do. The living however can be spared that fate. The vaccines appear to be doing the job, they may not, I agree, but it looks like they are. I’ll be happy when we’ve all had our second dose....
The vaccines will be of assistance. That's it.

What I think will be the worry in the near future is people's mindset ,my missus mum and dad had two vaccines both in their eightees but still worried when someone who's been close to them in shops and so on .keep saying they're ok now ,gonna be like this for alot of families I think sad really will we ever get back to normal maybe not:(

Yep, the fear factor has been spread and it’s very noticeable. I met a friend of mine and we had been in a bubble for the first 9 months, but have not seen each other for the last three months. We stood 8 feet apart and it was weird.....

Mad how we change the mindset of everyone could take years sad and its nobody's fault so sad

Cant say what I’d like to about this person except it was your job to just that!

She didn’t really say how though. It’s fine saying, after the fact, that we could have done something, but no one did. Did she or anyone else jump up and down screaming ‘we must do this’.....

I’ve no idea if this chart is correct. If it is someone needs their arse kicking......

It’s a silly chart mate, what’s the source.

I’d be a bit worried if it was true and there wasn’t more vaccines spare, what with second doses and buffers. I know we had 80k left over from our AZ pause, but looks like we put a dent in that.

It’s like saying the U.K. is stockpiling vaccines or struggling to give jabs, if they have a 30 mill buffer for second doses - which hopefully they do.

I dono. Doesn’t China tend to not give a bollox about safety and stuff. Why would they shut down cities if there wasn’t anything in it?
Wow snider, I don't know what you're doing in the time machine but I know its god's work.

Ah that sounds great, not sure if we’re doing similar, I got it in work so was onsite vaccination. I think GP’s are ringing here their patients here.

To be fair and I’ve always said it the NHS are brilliant, I’m delighted they are getting their dues, did I hear they are getting a few Bob bonus for all the work they did on the frontline during this?

I couldn’t believe it when I lived in the U.K. with the NHS, even as a foreigner I just rocked up and got looked after if I needed it, the odd antibiotic prescription for the flu if I needed it, it’s a wonderful service for society. It’s different elsewhere - were we all pay health insurance, well here anyway, think mines about 140 a month at the mo and if you need to see a GP thats 50/60 a pop.

Always used to hear people give out about the NHS, could never believe it.

Open disclosure though I worked in it for a bit to.
And if won't be long until the Tories sell it all off!

Hadn’t heard that myself, @Billy Dean is our German correspondent here. Heard earlier in the vaccine roll out there were problems with the German hotline, hours waiting and that - but that was very early on.

Was straight forward here, one consent form, just asking basic Heath question, COVID symptoms then your national security no and signature, 30 second job - but I got it in work, so I don’t know if more officious in the community.
Yes I don’t know anyone who’s been vaccinated yet but lots of reports of heavy bureaucracy. The German state is known for its bureaucracy. It’s being rightly heavily criticised for not reducing bureaucracy even despite the seriousness of the current situation. Not just with vaccinations but everything really. They’re planning to roll out vaccinations to GPs which might help with that.

Tis already, vast swathes anyway.
