The vaccines are great mate and key to managing this. But there is a risk spectrum there were they arent the panacea or licence to book a Spanish holiday like you see on the news. In all honesty the E484K - SA and Brazilan should be a concern and focus for us all, we know they really put our Gen 1 vaccines to the test depending on the vaccine. Clear policies on all inward and outward travel are needed as well quarantine. Need to learn the lessons we didnt head in Dec and Jan.

Thats interesting i hadn't heard Whitty comments, i thought more of the "Wash up on our shores" comment during the week - maybe we are all being softened up.

You'll see hundreds of thousands of infected beauts returning from abroad this summer: they'll find some way to concoct a story of second homes business or family bereavements to get out to mainland Europe. And this government want it to happen. They put businesses before people. It's just what the Tories are, it's in their DNA, its why this country became a plague island, and its why they'll always be lower than vermin.

Sensational numbers. Almost 700,000 more that cannot be hospitalised against this virus. You cannot bring back the people who have sadly died but I do not understand the mindset of some who seem to want further deaths and further lockdowns.

Absolute rubbish apart from it coming from China. China just aren’t telling anyone what the hell is going on there apart from their vaccine rollout which is now catching up with the USA. Which makes you wonder why they are putting so much effort into vaccinations if they have ‘solved their problem and are largely free of it’. You do realise that Chinese people also came to the U.K. and elsewhere don’t you, perhaps not. It must be killing you to see the U.K. actually getting to grips with this.......

Indeed it is, and this has been my point throughout. They are private companies doing business with various states who placed orders. It has nothing to do with the EU or Macron as to where or when they go....

Of course it’s the politicians. I believe I said the other day that the world is full of countries with great people and cretinous politicians who cause all the trouble. So here’s one for you, do you think Macron is helping or just making things worse in respect of Covid and vaccinations....

I don't think that the spouting of Manu are making any difference to the admittedly poor vaccination rate here.
The vaccination centres are set up but there is an acute shortage of vaccine. A centre in our main town had stuff for 200 jabs yesterday. Ffs. 200!
Macron is deeply unpopular due his implementation of a sort of austerity program leading to a significant cut in public services.
His anti brit comments are of little interest to the general population and the vaccine shortage is blamed on the EU of course.
