You are being disingenuous, Canada certainly did not ‘pause’ the AZ vaccine....You suggest that ‘many Eu countries never paused while a few sovereign nations took their own decisions‘. 17 out of 27 nations ‘paused’ the rollout, the exact opposite of what you suggested.....Trying to suggest it was ‘an international health alert system’ when the MHRA, the EMA and the WHO all said carry on vaccinating is worthy of Goebbels....I won’t even comment on VDL because it is such a disgraceful threat.....
Apologies, Canada didn’t, someone in work told me today they did and I just accepted it to be honest!
Yes, so over 33% of the EU didn’t pause it. It is an international health alert system mate, Norway activated it and many other countries that aren’t in the EU paused to. I don’t know why or how it’s productive to make this about the EU Vs Britannia’s vaccine, funny thing is there are a good few from our neck of the woods in key positions on the Oxford development team.
If you are asking me to accept or you suggest that the pause is down to an EU conspiracy to discredit AZ politically, then I think it’s tin foil hat stuff.
AZ have been poor partners certainly, but my position hasn’t changed, I’m on record here saying the pause was over cautious, but logical. I always said and hoped AZ would be fine.
What I would say, today’s advice by the EMA wasn’t conclusive, it said on balance the benefits out weigh risks, but weren’t prepared to say there wasn’t risks or links, they also publicly backed an information campaign that people be aware of the risks and be keeping data under review.
You know my position on the exports and imports - I’ve reams of stuff on it here - we won’t agree!
As for AZ overall, would I take it if I wasn’t vaccinated, absolutely, wouldn’t even blink.
