Go back and read the report.T-cells, by contrast, are effective as long as they recognise any part of the spike protein, so it is much harder for a virus to mutate to evade the T-cell response. “There is no way these variants are escaping T-cell immunity,” Shane Crotty at the La Jolla Institute for Immunology

Well, just how are we going to turn it round?Well said, imagine the kids being born right now growing up in a shi*t world like this as 10 year olds later on in life?. It just cannot be allowed.
The report doesn't state anything significant. States that people who aren't vaccinated are at risk (obviously) and that there could be further variants (obviously). Its very clear that vaccinations will prevent deaths from ALL current variants.Go back and read the report.

We can have the old normal back, just with some limits. The BS over vaccines trumpeted by an the army of willing Pollyannas (you see them on here) who are wishful-thinking 'old normal' back again will be responsible for putting us back in lockdown. They just want another summer blowout.
Rinse and repeat for the next few years with hundreds of thousands dead.
Anyone who call them out on it are then gaslighted.
*sigh*We can have the old normal back, just with some limits.
That's the aim of the game, or we wouldn't be bothering with the vaccines.
Wearing a mask in a shop isn't the end of the world. My point was that even if they stop in the summer, we'll be wearing them again come autumn. It's fine. That's probably ingrained in a lot of people now.
People wanting to live their lives isn't the equivalent to them having a 'summer blowout'.
We get a limited amount of time on this planet. Enjoy it.
This is very authoritarian.theguardian.com/politics/2021/feb/28/government-seeks-to-retain-lockdown-limits-on-protests?_
If we had winter lockdowns we would save thousands of none covid deaths every year.Restrictions and lockdowns cant be seasonal: why wait until its dire to lockdown?
The smart countries who are minimizing Covid19 to the status of just another nuisnace to contend with lockdown hard AT ANY POINT when it rears its head.
We cant have summers of revelry followed by a (reluctant) lockdown in autumn/winter.
*sigh*
You just haven't ackoweldged reality yet.
It's an uneven process, I suppose. Some have grasped the enormity of this and are adapting accordingly, others are still on that journey.

Worrying.
Everyones perception of reality is different.*sigh*
