It's not my judgement is it? The over-65 call was made without the evidence that most other leading nations said they required before okaying the AZ vaccine.

Aye, I saw the update after I had posted. The lax control of our borders has been scandalous and poorly thought out.

But the scientists who developed it were very very confident it would be fine. Because every other covid type jab they have developed works just fine.

To them, this is the day job. This isnt a brand new virus, like HIV was, its a new covid one, which shares hundreds of proteins with every other one they have dealt with.

Why other countries were slower giving any vax the ok, I care not. But the UK is, and has been for years and years, a global leader in this stuff.

That was a hypothesis that needed to be tested. The US recognized that, which is why they stalled on offering it approval until more data on older age groups are in.

At the very latest, these people came from Brazil into the U.K. on the 14th of Feb, one day before the 15th when the restriction began. It might have been earlier, but we’ll say the 14th for arguments sake.

14 days later, there has been no rises in the infection levels, with today being the lowest Sunday in a very long time.

Just like that Twitter link I shared, the vaccine is therefore obviously doing it’s job against this Manaus variant.

For such a politically motivated person, your failure to see any political pronouncements on the AZ vaccine by Germany and Macron for what they were is shockingly naive tbh........
