Wouldn't work to hold them back a year as you'd then have 8 classes in a primary and they only have 7 classrooms. You'd have to push the start age back forever to keep the correct numbers and thats not ideal.

Good point that. I forgot some kids will be starting school!

But what about the U.K. vaccination rollout, more vaccinations given than Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Holland combined. It’s been a fantastic effort which you ignore or try and put down with arguments of second doses. The U.K. has led this, been proven right every step of the way, and tbh I’m very proud of what everyone involved is doing in this respect...
The UK have taken a different not better route: they choose to jab once while other nations have gone for a full vaccination option; they chose to offer the UK population up to be guinea pigs and gave an indemnity to pharmaceutical companies against legal action. That's how the vaccines were secured.

...but you contnue to heap praise on THE GOVERNMENT THAT'S CONDUCTED THE WORST COVID19 RESPONSE IN THE WHOLE WORLD - KILLING 123,000 OF ITS OWN PEOPLE.

When you make your appointment, you get a date for the second one.

You cannot get a 2nd jab if you dont have the first.

I dont think that's necessarily right. Ilve spoken to a few people who had their first jab and they showed me their vaccination card with it empty for the date of the second jab - they received the information that they should contact their GP near 10 weeks if the next appointment wasn't through.

Whether you take an extended one jab followed by a second, or a jab shortly followed by a second, is for the scientists, and it seems that our scientists are not flip flopping all over the place. What cannot be argued is the absolute number of jabs given, now approaching 21 million, in which the U.K. is outperforming EU countries by an awful long way. so go on, just for once, try and say “well done the U.K., keep it up”.......

In that case, the NHS/GP will contact them. The only places where you can book the first and second one are the mass vax sites, cos they are open every day. GPs arrange vaccine days when they get their next supply confirmed.

Yes, the early doses were like that because it was the GPs / clinics etc calling people up or administering them in care homes and hospitals. Remember, a lot of people getting those were the elderly (very elderly).

My dad got his last week. He basically got the letter, which gave him instructions of how to book it online. Then he could book the best time slot on the date he was given (21st Feb) and then he booked his time slot for 14th May (which is actually just under 11 weeks).

You're going to be having a lot more people being like my dad and having to book it in themselves. The system is working. There will of course be some glitches (for example my dad went to the vaccine centre and they didn't have him booked in, but he had his confirmation - they quickly sorted that), but by and large it'll be you get your letter, you book in your slot and you know straight away.

Yep, they told us we would be contacted for the second one....
