Sure I read somewhere quite recently that the crowds on the beaches in the summer had little impact on infections.

At least at a festival all the mess would be getting cleaned up.

Still think that the chances of them are going ahead unless cases and hospitalisations are very low.

I mean, I don't think they should have been happening don't get me wrong, just like I don't think the BLM protests (which people said were okay - and still say were okay - because the cause was just) or title celebrations in Leeds, Liverpool etc should have been happening.

But... they didn't really have an impact.

It's no coincidence that now Aus and NZ are starting to enter their autumn (admittedly still very warm in NZ at this time of year I know from experience, but by the end of March/mid-April it has dropped) they're starting to see cases crop up whereas before it'd been weeks, months without any.

I agree on your point about them going ahead, but as of right now, they can do, and they have to put the tickets out. If they have to cancel it, they'll cancel it. Such is life.

Be interesting if these festivals end up going ahead like. Personally think its a bit too early until everyones had both doses imo.

Think September/October should be the aim for large events / stadiums being full.

They might think that closer to the time too. As it stands they can go ahead like.

Smaller ones - the ones that are like 15-20k max, or not stay-over ones (i.e. Tramlines isn't any camping) - shouldn't be an issue really.

Leeds and Reading, yeah they're a bit different. I won't be going to them, like, too many 16-year-olds who know how to dress themselves older... Risky businesses after the last year of quarantine

If there is grass under the wicket @BlueToff will play cricket lol

I’m no fan of the Tories by any stretch but complicit is a stretch let’s be honest here, they didn’t purposely infect anyone with COVID.
No, but their ineptitude and mismanagement of the situation led to more deaths, which in my humble opinion could have been prevented. Not going to go over stuff which has already been commented on in this thread, but they must accept responsibility for their actions (inactions would be a better word).
Sadly, I don't think they will.
The vaccination programme is down to the NHS, with superb support from volunteers, the forces, and organised without any help from corrupt and greedy politicians.

If they can't remember 9/11 the deal is off, mate
