I haven't seen any stats for healthcare (or the NHS specifically), but the Economist had an interesting piece about the retail supply chain and that if around 10% of the workforce were sick, they'd be in deep doo doo. Given the high likelihood of sickness among the medical fraternity, I wonder what their own figures look like?
