Particularly given his parents experience this is just being a tit

Never been a fan of Brady the person and this just adds fuel to that fire. A person in his position should be leading by example, especially given how sick his Dad got ffs

There are times for questions and there are times for just going with the scientists. This is one of those times to put our faith in the MHRA and EMA and the Oxford and AstraZeneca people. People need to relax, do as they are told and have the jab when told to do so, and trust that it will do what the scientists say it will. We’ve all been through the mumps, TB, polio etc jabs and sugar lumps...we need to get behind this.....

lol

Again though, and this isn't having a dig, the main priority is stopping people getting seriously ill from any strain - which these vaccines do, even with the SA strain (though to less effect so far?).

If that is achieved, then it buys time for health systems to be able to treat people and it also buys time for vaccine manufacturers to tweak the medicine.

Which is why @ForeverBlue92 's point about stopping the vaccine in some cases just seems counter-productive.

Stop people getting seriously ill - that's the priority.

Anyway, hope you're feeling better after the second dose of Pfizer, mate!

I fear we'll never get back to normal if we keep going down this road.

If the vaccines lead to Covid only giving you cold symptoms then why the hell are we so worried about it?

We can tweak the vaccines to sort SA strains down the line the priority is stopping people getting seriously ill from this thing.

Lets be honest if Covid never killed people or even made them need hospital treatment would people have ever been arsed about it? Probably not so why flap over it causing mild illness? Baffles me it really does.

People will start mentioning long covid but its very unlikely long covid will be a thing if you are vaccinated.

Yes, if it didn’t kill people then we wouldn’t be arsed about it.

COVID was here and killing people before we knew about it. That much seems pretty clear.

But yeah, I agree.

I do also see the need to stop infection, but generally, first thing first has to be to stop serious illness surely, and then we go from there?

Obviously, ideal world is both can be achieved at the same time.

I do also appreciate that the reason for stopping AZ in some ages is that there isn't data that it will work against the new strain fully so they don't want to be giving somebody one vaccine only for it not to work down the line. But it does give some protection, and that's proven, so surely with any of the vaccines, it's better to have some than none?
