I was reading not too long about a port in Africa and all the relevant infrastructure (roads and rail) that hasn't been used yet the loan deal is draconian at best.

These countries are bonkers - if it prevents serious illness who cares if its not as effective in preventing infection?

Long term obviously the aim should be to try wipe it out completely but at this stage its a world pandemic just stop people dying you clowns.

I get the lack of data over certain groups but right now, just surely getting doses into people is important? It's proven to help stop illness.

The J&J vaccine had decent results against the B.1.351 SA variant so hopefully there is prioritization in sending more of that to them whilst further testing is done on the other vaccines to see if they still reduce severe disease and a larger sample size overall to narrow confidence levels.
