There is no evidence that the over-65 group will do well after two spaced out AZ jabs. NONE.

The Pfizer manufacturer merely states that no testing on efficacy for 3 months has been done and so cant say either way.
There is no evidence for Pfizer's jab working with a 12 week gap either. So based on your logic if people over 65 are offered a choice they should reject both. Just want to make sure that is what you are advocating?

That finance director statement was a joke based on that "mate" of yours, pete - sorry it went above your head.

As for the rest, at the risk of thanking you for pointing it out, yes; the drug firms gave ranges. The government picked the very far end of the range. That was the point.

I know that’s why I repeated it ..... but all that aside, what is your background, and I don’t mean to criticise or make fun of anything...

What about all those healthcare workers dying, and then also passing it on to other patients?

Or workers in care homes who aren't actually imprisoned in them so have lives of their own and kids to care for and may well pick it up, be asymptomatic, and go into a care home and spread it to all the old dears?

They shouldn't be prioritised?
Yes, but they were always down for the front of the queue. Those health and care workers + over 80s should have had 2 jabs. After that, if the stock was there, roll it out more generally.

Well we'll soon have loads of data because loads of people are getting the jabs.

If they start dropping dead, we'll know.
But that testing on real world roll out should have been reprted in by now. The Israeli Pfizer roll out has given us feedback weeks ago.

There's no evidence that Pfizer wont work with a 12 week gap (but that's an issue caused by your government).

just tried out the queue calculator here https://www.omnicalculator.com/health/vaccine-queue-uk

Probably different times for different areas but it gives me an idea when I can expect a letter for the jab
Not sure on the uptake rate though as they based this on the flu job, I think loads will have this that didn't have the flu one

Result:
Based on your profile, you are in priority Group 8, and there are between 15,580,035 and 18,693,495 people in front of you in the queue for a first dose of COVID vaccine across the UK.
Given a vaccination rate of 2,645,401 a week and an uptake of 70.6%, you should expect to receive your first dose of vaccine between 23/04/2021 and 10/05/2021.

You should then get your second dose by between 16/07/2021 and 02/08/2021.
I did the German equivalent of this. It told me if things go at the planned pace I'll get my first dose in June 2021, but if it carries on at the current pace it will be October 2023 lol
