"A WHO spokeswoman, Margaret Harris, said she wanted to appeal to people in the UK, telling them: “You can wait” because ensuring equitable global distribution is “clearly morally the right thing to do”."

What a clown - sound Margaret well you pay the mortgages of all those furloughed / out of work whilst we wait and you have a deal.

Funny enough I just suggested something regarding any excess vaccines...

I wonder, when we have inoculated our entire population by the summer, to whom we should give the excess vaccines that we have ordered. I think it would be nice to help the ROI get fully inoculated and perhaps send vaccines to our friends in the commonwealth...

I wouldn't have a problem once we are all vaccinated to help out others - but its hypocritical that the WHO have told us how big and bad and scary Covid is to humanity but then suggests after all the elderly are sorted to screw the rest of us for a few years and risk us ending up dead or with long term health effects all whilst a lot of working age are skint and out of work from over 12 months of lockdown.

Margaret is living on another planet.

She might have a point.

Plus, it would help reduce the mutations of the virus if we tackle it at the same time on a global scale.

Perhaps. But the real solution is to get manufacturing up to speed around the world. Oxford will give its formula away for free and AZ are manufacturing and selling at cost. So the debate is not about who has a vaccine but one of who hasn’t got the capability to produce it...then put it in place.....

Problem is this can mutate anywhere/regardless mate. I imagine this things going to be around for a very long time so for me lets sort the UK out before we worry about anyone else.

Might be looking at it from a selfish point of view but if I got ill from this thing as the main breadwinner who's putting food on my kids plate and keeping a roof over our heads?

Certainly wont be Margaret...
