Do the Chinese government rule this country?

Did the Chinese government see what was happening across Europe and keep everything open?
Did the Chinese government lockdown 6 weeks too late in March and again in January?
Did the Chinese government 12months after a pandemic start think "Oh, maybe its time we closed some borders".
Did the Chinese government tell everybody to eat out help out?

If the answer to these questions is yes, then its totally Chinas fault.

Did the Chinese know what was going on
Did the Chinese keep quiet and try to hide the truth while the virus ran wild.

If the answer to these is NO then it’s all the fault of Boris and every other leader around the world.....

I understand that our government, it’s advisors and PHE did not cover themselves in glory, but they did not create nor introduce this virus... the Chinese did....

My missus has been drafted on to the covid wards at whiston hospital to help due to staff shortages (covid related). The wards are all full with covid patients and her ward only has 2 people over 60. The youngest patient in there is 26.

It is undoubtably affecting younger people more this time and lots do require hospitalisation.

The only question that needs to be asked is :

Did the Chinese Government KNOW that they had somehow created a killer virus and fail to tell anybody else before it was too late - therefore allowing people to travel from the Wuhan region and ultimately kill 2,122,886 people (as of today)?

I think we can blame the UK gov for their response and blame China for the fact that this happened in the first place.

They didnt create the virus lads.

I read a report that suggests Patient Zero was Italian.

But yeah, wet markets, lab in Wuhan, believe what THEY tell you.

If they'd have owned up to it in the first place - rather than trying to (and seemingly succeeding) in covering their arses then the world wouldn't be in this mess

It's almost like these sort of outbreaks keep originating in very specific places - or maybe i'm just imagining things

No, the virus did that, the U.K. just happens to be the world leader in picking up such stuff, and then telling everyone else about it.

I agree the U.K, USA and Europe did not react quick enough, but China knew about this for months before and if they’d spent more effort in raising the issue instead of trying to hide just how bad it was, even the incompetents we have running the government would have done better.

The U.K., USA, Europe, all screwed up, there’s no heroes here, but now the U.K., USA etc are leading the way to get the vaccines in place. The nearly 2.2 Million people dead around the world is down to China....

I don't think they did, not really. They were either testing something in a lab and it got out (it happens) or it came about naturally, which I think is more likley. But in the latter case, that happened because of the conditions of those wetmarkets which, I don't give a flying F if it's acceptable over there, are absolutely disgusting.

Either way, they covered it up. They didn't actually go into lockdown until February - they had their cities open for Chinese New Year, and there's evidence that the COVID-19 variant of coronavirus was in Europe as early as last October.

So yeah, I blame them just a tad. As much as I can blame our government for their crap response, and the Italian government for their tosh response to the initial epidemic in the north of Italy, etc etc

It was the Chinese who spun the story about Bats and wet markets...meanwhile just down the road in the Wuhan lab where they had been working on such viruses, everything was fine......
