Not if the trees are a potentially dangerous and the pot holes are a potential hazard too.
Buses are a danger on the basis they could plough into people.

We're talking here about parts of the economy that could be shut down or curtailed in order to reduce transmission.

Every job listed is far to late spring to Autumn for grass cutting - tree pruning deciduous autumn to January.... evergreen only May or September......
Pot holes dry weather but possibly ok in an emergency..,...
...and yet they're getting done.

...and yet they're getting done.
Using the budget up from a contract which has bad specifications.........
Usually from a bad council or client - no such thing as a bad contractor if the client is stupid enough not to regulate of specify it correctly - this is where money is wasted ......all over in every industry too many managers cooking the broth ........every big industry unfortunatley.....,

No, if a branch or tree is dangerous it needs to come down pronto.

If a pot hole is so deep it’s dangerous to road users, that needs filling in pronto too.

You’re gigantic agenda filled leap of faith, has all of the maintenance workers involved in these services, going to the newsagents, the petrol station and Greggs to guzzle a pastie on a paid super spreading jolly.

When the reality could be that they went straight to the job, did the job and went back to their respective depots to have lunch.

Yet again, more conjecture to suit your narrative.

Not really if cut before the first frost it stunts it unless we have a very very mild winter which is not the case ATM - plus the amount of rain we have had lately it's far to wet....,.are you sure it was not a job creation scheme.lol
@davek Have you seen this Dave! Consulting our resident expert, Joey, has left me suspicious that whoever it was using those lawnmowers clearly had no respect for our grass and are most likely Tory voting rotters!

A good friend of mine, and husband to one of my bestist friends, was killed when he hit a pot hole while cycling.

His wife, Kate, has fronted a campaign ever since, and was on the Jeremy Vine show a while back.

She also got a massive payout from Yorkshire Council, cos they didnt fix it, even though they were told to.

A few months ago, an old boy me was killed instantly, when a rotten tree branch dropped onto his head, whilst walking his dog. Talk about wrong time and wrong place, tragic.

But it the world according to Dave, these aren’t essential services.

Mad.
