Seen today when on a bike ride: workers felling trees, others filling pot holes in, others still cutting grass verges (in January with the grass at about an inch high) . How on earth are they essential at the peak of a pandemic? Those activities must have had about 20 odd people (and the knock on effect of going to shops /petrol stations etc involving others). That can all easily be done once the infection rates decrease.
I know I'm turning into that Harry Enfield character who's catchphrase was "You dont wanna be doing that", but seriously, there's just no sense to it.
