Went to my gp to get my flu vaccine. I asked about their covid vaccinations. She said they have been inundated with calls. And they don't even have a date when they will get the vaccine

Baffles me with these dreadful numbers is how we haven't seen the vids/pics like we did of Italy/Spain etc, with people lying (dying) on hospital floors.

No conspiracies about a media blackout. If it was happening on scale, we'd have seen it.

Is that just because by the time people are getting into the ICU wards/onto ventilators it's already too late?

Well the people dying are spread out over a whole country's worth of hospitals etc. The Italy video was Bergamo on its own that got absolutely hammered over a short period of time.

I think its cos the pictures were from regional hospitals who couldn't cope?

People are a little better prepared now, they know the treatment routes.

AIPEI (Taiwan News) — A Chinese vaccine expert is referring to the vaunted Sinopharm vaccine as the "most unsafe vaccine in the world," after it was found to produce 73 side effects.

On Dec. 30 of last year, BBIBP-CorV, an inactivated vaccine produced by China National Biotec Group (CNBG), a subsidiary of China National Pharmaceutical Group Corporation (Sinopharm), was officially approved by China's National Medical Products Administration for general use in the communist country. This was the first Wuhan coronavirus vaccine approved by the Chinese government, and the state-run firm claimed that it has an efficacy rate of 79.34 percent based on late-stage trials.

However, Shanghai-based vaccine expert, Tao Lina (陶黎納), recently uploaded a digital version of the vaccine's instruction manual onto his Weibo page, reported Hong Kong's Ming Pao newspaper. He stated that after he read the manual, "I took in a long cold breath, and counted the conditions listed in the 'adverse reactions' column." He found that there were 73 local/systemic adverse reactions associated with the vaccine.

The vaccine expert found that in addition to pain in the injection site and headache, there were severe side effects listed that were "more likely to occur," such as high blood pressure, loss of vision, loss of taste, delayed menstruation, and urinary incontinence.

He wrote that the 73 adverse reactions to the vaccine listed on the manual make it what he describes as the "most unsafe vaccine in the world in one fell swoop."

Tao wrote that no inactivated vaccine has more types of adverse reactions than this product. He also asserted that this number of adverse reactions is "absolutely unprecedented."

He stated that other doctors jokingly described the manual as "one long disclaimer." However, he alleged that as long as the side effects are listed in the manual, recipients are not entitled to compensation if they occur.

He warned that the company will be immune to lawsuits from people seeking compensation for suffering the vaccine's side effects and that the provincial governments will be expected to provide recompense instead. Tao suggested that the provincial governments will then face most of the blame if there are major problems with the vaccine.

His Weibo account was quickly deleted by authorities. His page now states "this content cannot be viewed due to violation of regulations."

Tao, 43, has been working in the Shanghai Center for Disease Control and Prevention (SCDC) since August of 2000 and is responsible for vaccine management. In late December of last year, Beijing Business Today interviewed him on issues related to the COVID-19 vaccine.

One thing, maybe one of the few, that we are brilliant at in this country is military logistics, and distribution. Oh, thats 2, but you get the point.

I have no idea about the capacity in a drug company re ramping up production and supply, but I am reasonably confident in their ability to do as much as they can.

That darn coping mechanism again.

Are there any vaccine manufacturing plants in the country? From what I’ve heard the last few days it seems like highly specialised facilities are needed as well as highly trained professionals to operate them. I guess if they’re already there you might be able to increase capacity but if they’re not there then it becomes a very long term operation rather than immediate.

Yeah fair enough, albeit it's mainly the London hospitals and SE ones that are struggling extremely badly atm (the rest of the country will probably follow suit soon enough I know)

Pretty sure I heard the government aren't letting cameras in to hospital ICU's atm, which is the only reason we haven't seen it. They thought it would be too upsetting for people.

Some people have criticized them as not seeing footage encourages people to not take it as seriously. I tend to agree.

You get a sore arm with the Flu jab sometimes it depends on the nurse how she administers the jab i.e. if she goes into a muscle you get a dead arm for a few days .......no other side effects than that imo the people who claim they have all kinds of symptoms are psychosomatic...... with the flu jab as I have had it for ages since becoming Diabetic - a sore arm Yes -sometimes influenza NO...

If you look back the year how the public have behaved in the minority plus in the masses - the hot weather = the beaches crammed to the hilt - top people using excuses for eye test etc is it any wonder the virus has never dwindled plus a total mismanagement from the top over it - we have a small police force yet a paid army doing nothing to help them ....
