Cancelling the second dose for pensioners seems mental.

It's an economy over health decision, just like every other major call they've had to make. They want to reach into the working population age groups as fast as they can to make sure they hit the ground running in the next period of virus containment.

It's inhumane and pure Tory evil at its worst.

That spike in May is what I was referring to.

They had hardly any cases and then it spiked up.

I'll try and find the graph. It was that guy who works for the financial times.

Again, this isn't a game of one-upmanship.

They seemed to focus on minimising the risk of 'superspreading' rather than 'spreading' in general (his words not mine) - (November)

Pfizer have specifically said that they do not know if doing what the government have said (and it’s absolutely them who are responsible for this, not medics / scientists) will even work though.

It’s not been tested (at least publicly); authority for its use was not given on this basis. To do it to the most vulnerable people is, frankly, appalling.

It’s also really hard to see this ever having been the plan - more likely it’s a panic move over this latest upswing.

Those Pfizer vaccine jabs coud be worthless if the follow up booster is 2-3 months rather than 3 weeks.

This government are letting their shockingly inept organisational capabilities over ride the advice of the producers of the vaccine.

I would class their lockdown as a success.

Ours was a complete failure, went into it too late and came out too early without a track and trace system.

And the economy completely tanked, we were the worst of the G7.

Most deaths in Europe and worst decline in GDP out of the G7.
