"Ready" isn't perhaps the right word. It might be ready to do "something", but it's not based on comprehensive research. It's being rushed out the door, and it just feels to me like having all the hallmarks of a political decision.
In my view, if this was purely a scientific call, they'd have pulled it and undergone more trials before releasing it to the public. Instead, they're doing more trials but releasing it to the public before knowing those results - which is irresponsible.
This is going to be a very tough sell now to many members of the public, and as I say I think it's happened because of Tory incompetence and desperation.
It doesn’t help selling it when people are telling others not to take it, or saying it’s not “ready” with no evidence, based on nothing more than feelings influenced by distrust of the Government.
I see a number of people in here with a seemingly rudimentary understanding of the science making pretty dangerous declarations about something which could save hundreds of thousands of lives.
