Just a bit of good news I saw on look north. Liverpool docks never been so busy. 2 shipping companies have shifted their trade from Felixstowe to Liverpool in the last 2 weeks meaning an extra 70000 containers a year. 150 more jobs. More shipping companies looking to move from Felixstowe to Liverpool as the UK.looks to shift away from the EU to other trade in the rest of the world. Long way it continue!
Sorry anyone from the Felixstowe area.

I’ve been saying that Liverpool Docks will benefit from this all along.....

Some people will certainly benefit and do well at the expense of others.

In hindsight now, there were some huge opportunities to make serious cash out of this disaster.
My dad ( aged 69 ) refuses to retire and has been furloughed since March, he’s now working in a test centre part time and he says the amount of money being spent is off the scale. 24 hour operation and the PPE used is incredible and that’s before wages and the testing itself. The booths they use are rented and cost thousands..
I’d guess that the PPE gets containered into the country as well.

Had to laugh a few weeks back. Tesco had proudly put a "Matching Lidl" tag on their carling, £11.00 or sommet. Few weeks later, "Matching Lidl", £12.00!
No idea how much those German retailers rely on imports BTW.
They could struggle the next few weeks ?

Totally agree that the amount of money that some companies have made has been obscene. There will be an enquiry but it will be a whitewash

Never given it a thought. Makes sense though.

Havnt ever shopped in either; shovels displayed next to cat food isnt a great look. One visit, no ta, Arsed if the continental meats are decent.

It's not scaremongering. It's science. It's range of efficacy is between 47% and 70% according to the company's own data.

If you had a choice of Pfizer or that Oxford gnats piss, which would you choose?
No mate you’re wrong. They made an error during the development and trialling process. The error they made was to only issue a half dosage in the first vaccine then followed it up with a full dose second. This error turned out to be a very fortuitous one as they found that these two combined levels (half followed by a full) dosage gave upto 90% efficacy.

It doesn’t need special refrigeration, it’s cheap so I’d say it’s a success.

Also it should be noted that the Oxford team set out to develop a vaccine for the world (affordable and transportable). So they were operating under a greater level of requirements than the other developers.

Another benefit of leaving the EU......
Deffo not getting involved in that argument.. but I wouldn’t mind the Romanians jogging on.
This is just one theft we had in store last week. All tags removed and bottles bagged and covered in other items. Over £1300 worth of Bombay Gin.
This is a daily issue now, it’s off the scale.
