From what I have read due to this covid vaccine being made in a different way to other vaccine they can easily alter it. It's what happens with the flu vaccine I think. They change it slightly every year as the flu vaccine mutates every year

Well, in theory anyway. Obviously that vast majority of people will laugh and carry on, and to be honest rightly so.

I really don't like being in this "conspiracy" camp either. Hate it in fact; I usually laugh at them as they're all, usually, nonsense.

As @davek says above, if this is REALLY a massively lethal, virulent, scary superspreader mutation... then why the hell aren't we locking down nationally?

The only outcome I can come to is that they need an airtight excuse to lockdown London, whereas the north they didn't give a toss about.

The tier system has been a disaster, it really has.

I mean around me - which has been in some form of strict lockdown for 8 weeks - the infection rates have slowed.

The disaster which has crippled any integrity of the tier system - and everybody knew it but nobody in the media (shock), or parliament (oh, they all live there, shock) called it out at the time - was putting London and the south east in Tier 2 at the start of December, with rates higher than a fair few places in T3.

In London, it's totally scrapped as Tier 4 is almost like the November lockdown. Elsewhere, the relaxed restrictions will now only be for Christmas Day.

Secretly delighted that London is in tier 4 lockdown and I don’t need an excuse to sack off my family on Christmas.

The fact that it’s being done staggered to stop scenes like we had with people climbing over each other to buy shithouse paper, there’s only finite amounts of the vaccine, it’s not compulsory to have it, poorly communicated as ever. There’s some bits.

This is the key issue. The AstraZenica vaccine should be approved by 29th Dec. The rollout of this vaccine can be done on a massive scale due to its ease of transport/distribution...
