2018/19 flu deaths where 1,692.
The average for England since 2014 is 17,000 pa.
Thats a very big difference.
This virus is not comparable to the flu at all.
I got the figure from that article. I agree it's not always the correct figure. Even you say the average is 17000 a year just for England and that figure is with the flu vaccine being available every year.
Due to those figures that you quote yourself should we have gone into lockdown to protect those average 17000 people who died every year. Should we have closed pubs, gyms shop etc.
This is just my viewpoint. I'm.notbasking people to agree with me. It's an emotive subject.
Most of the people who have died had underlying issues. Covid accelerated their death. I am.not saying that covid isn't a deadly disease. And I hope that I don't get it. But is it worth crashing the economy for with billions of debt,. crashing small business that people have spent years building up.
I fully supported the first lockdown but I've changed my mind now. I don't bthink lockdown works. But that is just my view. Not asking for anyone to agree with me.
