I remember the 1956 Asian Flu, schools were nearly empty, the were 39 in our class (peak boomer time)... 4 including me turned in one week.
If you get sick they'll send you home, the arl lady was busy looking after her sick mum and sister who was death's door sick, so I was better off out the way in school.
Hopefully the lessons forgotten from 1918 and re learned in '56 are not lost, just in case.

My daughter turned up at my house earlier, she had a doctors appointment and was waiting ages when the staff came out and asked everyone to leave as they had a patient with suspected corona virus and had to disinfect the premises!! Scary. Dovecote area.

Interesting to note the difference in response and transparency between the likes of South Korea and Italy with Iran and China. If anything good comes of this it'll hopefully be the collapse of both of those hideous regimes that do nothing but continue to propagate the suffering of their peoples.
