The stricter they make the rules the less the public will buy in. Surely even this inept government can work that out.

No rules means a free for all. But sensible rules and most will adhere. Pragmatism is key in this.

We had reasonably sensible rules before the second lockdown, and people were mostly doing sensible things. Now no one has a clue why or what the rules are, why a substantial meal wards off the virus but a pint on its own doesn’t, or why high risk areas get lumped in with low risk areas so that neither gets the proper treatment. At the beginning of this virus we put our faith into the hands of the ‘science’, but unfortunately the scientists involved haven’t a clue......

hahaha.....btw just seen that Anglesey has a very low per 100,000 rate, and about 10% of the Welsh average, what restrictions are you having to put up with...

Pretty sure all of Wales is in a new lock down. Not a clue what that means though. The situation in South Wales is horrific.

No, the scientists are being ignored and have been ignored every step of the way.

Boris knows best...........................

If they change the Christmas period this late I actually think it will be worse than what they hope it achieves.

The North will think it's purely because of London and the South (which it very much seems like) and London and parts of the South who have just gone into tier 3 will also be told they will now lose part of their Christmas relaxation period. I actually think more people would break the rules.

Wales at the moment has an ‘average’ rate of 363/100,000, an astronomical number (England average 151) Cardiff has 451/100,000. Anglesey and @Kurt has 34. If he is in the same restrictions as Cardiff someone needs a kick up the arse......

They might have done it by region, but I somehow doubt it.

Coming towards the end of the 17 day tough restrictions... not quite sure what to expect after Friday to be honest. As it stands we have virtually no pubs open and the ones that are open are not allowed to sell alcohol. You can still go in and have a soft drink though ... which makes absolutely no sense at all. All shops are still open and we are only restricted travel wise from entering a tier 3 area.
Just for clarity.. it’s not really bothering me at all. I’m not bothered about going to the pub although I do miss going out for a nice meal as most places decided to shut following the ban on alcohol sales. The only difficulty I have is when I’m working, most outdoor attractions are shut such as zoo’s and places we would usually take the kids for treat days.
