Well I agree it needs to be given to the vulnerable groups as a priority mate - obviously she falls into that. Just wondered if there’d have been a more targeted approach considering its 400,000 vaccines available not 4,000,000
Theres another 2.5 milion on the way this month isnt there.
The Oxford A/Z will be on line soon with far less worries around availabilty & distribution.

Governor De Santis' administration is well aware of the dreadful job his administration has done managing the Covid crisis in Florida that they have decided to harass the scientist compiling important Covid-19 data instead of working with her to makes this important data available.

All confirmed that the Oxford one does a good enough job, get these vaccines out asap.

On another point Hancocks 'emotion' this morning wasn't oscar worthy was it.

Vaccine out, it was great to see the woman in Coventry being the first to get it, hopefully we are at the beginning of the end and this time next year this thread will have a little lock beside it and be on page 30 of the current affairs section.

Unfortunately, most of us won't be getting the vaccine until the autumn.

Another wasted birthday for me :(

Well, had my first flu vax today. It means that my local GP surgeries have vaxed everyone over 50, (who wanted one), with zero fuss, zero problems, in about 4 weeks.

If the OU/GZ vax is as easy to distribute and store as they say, then once its lobbed at the surgeries, you ma be surprised at how efficient they are.

Yep, totally understand that. I suppose I meant it in the way of is it likely to save more lives in the next few months if the residents or staff are the ones who get vaccinated first? That was my point. Appreciate it needs both groups to be vaccinated to work fully!
Got to admit I thought they would work upwards from say 55 plus those who care for the elderly. First it lets those people back into more face to face type jobs and also they are more likely to be the closest relations to those in care homes thereby giving them the opportunity for contact visits knowing they won’t endanger their parents. Sod the under 55 moaning gits as well:p Think there was more than a bit of the PR stunt about this morning, William Shakespeare, really. Wouldn’t be surprised if the vast majority of the first doses went to health care staff anyway, they’re the first we need to keep in harness.

I'll likely have mine by Easter, school staff are 8th on the priority list in Ireland. I want to go to Vancouver in August for my brothers wedding so hopefully things will run without any issues.
