Well maybe but the article was just an interview in essense with someone that had had it. Also in the article it says "throughout the morning, patients and health workers at some 50 hospitals around the UK, have been getting the jab" so I don't think it's a case of choosing the wrong people first. Can't say I read too much into the article other than "good news, one more safe grandma" really.

I don't think there's any vaccine for what you have mate

No joke, those hep shots absolutely wrecked me. Had to get them when I worked in the hospital and I was laid up for a day after each one.

Right, this is going to sound blunt, but well... why is a 90 year old in the first group to be vaccinated???

surely... surely... the priority has to be 50-80 yr olds with underlying conditions? Or, it should be to get the NHS frontline workers sorted first?

or is this a work backwards from age thing?

I'm skeptical on that front for other reasons but to be fair that is one of the categories that you class as highest risk so by right the vaccine is going to the right people.

Got to love though that the government can turn this into some pr exercise mo matter the significance of it, next up for the vaccine is William Shakespeare!

Well I agree it needs to be given to the vulnerable groups as a priority mate - obviously she falls into that. Just wondered if there’d have been a more targeted approach considering its 400,000 vaccines available not 4,000,000
