Fair enough. I just know that there’s a fit and healthy 24-year-old (who works in the icu) getting it, and then also 90-yr-old Maggie (91 next week).Perfectly happy for the folk who vax millions every year to decide who gets it, and in what order.

given we currently have 400,000 available vaccines (not allowing for any waste), I thought it just worth raising the question.
Ey?
Vaccinate a 90-year-old, you’ve saved a 90-year-old from covid (when the vaccine works - and she won’t be fully dosed up for another month, that’s how long it takes to work).
vaccinate a member of staff that looks after 9-10 90-year-olds, plus perhaps takes their kids to school, plus goes to the shops... you’re probably more likely to save more lives?
they all need vaccinating ASAP, it’s surely just more sensible to start with people who are mixing community with care homes to save more lives as quickly as possible?
Christ we'll be playing at Bramley Moore by the time I get offered the vaccine
Wasnt having a pop. There is a thread of sense in what you are saying, I just havnt a clue about who/why/when age groups are decided, hence, happy for the experts to crack on.
Having my first ever flu jab later today, following a text the other week that my age group is now getting it. They seem to be pretty good at using their data to roll out mass vaxes.
Prepare to feel like crap for a while lol
Had crossed my mind. My parents had theirs a few weeks ago, and said they were fine afterwards. But they have one every year.
I had one a few years back and it knocked me for six for a couple of days.

You should be OK, I've had the jab for a good few years and I can't recall any bad side effects. Worth doing mate.Had crossed my mind. My parents had theirs a few weeks ago, and said they were fine afterwards. But they have one every year.
Yeah, I have heard that a few times. If we were in normal times, I probably wouldnt bother. That said, its only cos we are not in normal times that my age group is getting it anyrate, so will go with the advice.

Yeah, same with my mate in the Sheffield icu.And I'm sure they will all be vaccinated; it's not like she's been vaccinated and then no one else is till 2021. Just not sure why we're questioning one person getting a vaccine. I'm fairly certain she wasn't the only person in the country vaccinated yesterday either. My friend is front line in Lancaster and is getting hers this week they've been told.
