Deluded would be slating people based solely on their politics, rather than taking the time to look at what they did and what the impact of it was.
I mean for example Wales *didn’t* come straight out of it; many restrictions were (and are) still in place once the lockdown was lifted:
As the firebreak ends in Wales, First Minister Mark Drakeford today asked everyone to think about how they can protect their families from the virus.
gov.wales
I wasn't slating you on your politics. I was trying to explain your erratic and contradictory postings earlier, and in fairness I did say that I might be wrong because I knew I was making an assumption at the time.
But the facts are
1) The covid policy in Wales is driven by Labour.
2) The covid policy in England is driven by the Tories
3) Wales came out of circuit break into very relaxed rules. And yes I have read the above link.
4) The infection rates have now risen so much In Wales that new lockdown is happening
5) You blame the new lockdown on the English crossing the border into Wales and the fact that England didn't have a circuit break at the same time as Wales did.
6) There is absolutely no evidence to say that English encroachment on Wales resulted in the Welsh increase in infections. In fact, the English/Welsh borders are some of the lowest infected areas. All the evidence points to the lowering in restrictions increasing the infection rate.
7) You say the first circuit break had a huge effect on the infection rate in Wales. Good enough to see it through until at least the New Year before another. You also said that had England had a circuit break at he same time, which by pure coincidence just happens to be what a certain Sir Kier Starmer was advocating, then England would also be in the same position. This based presumably on the back of advice from a scientific think tank that has consistently and continually called things wrong throughout this pandemic. Sorry but that is absolute nonsense. The infection rates in Wales did come down but not dramatically so, and I will wager that figures will show infection rates will come down even further in the English lockdown. And there is absolutely no evidence to support your claims we wouldn't have seen another lockdown before the new year.
So to summarise, you are saying that the Labour run Wales circuit break was successful, and had we followed Labours calls for a similar circuit break in England that would have been successful too. You are also saying that Tories decision to have regional tier restrictions in England was not only unsuccessful, but also caused the Wales successful lockdown to subsequently fail. Well, I'll give you 1 out of 4 for correctness there, another 1 is partially correct, and the final 2 utter and total wham. Which leads me to believe that your judgement has been affected by your political alliance. But you can call me deluded if you wish
