But the problem is that two weeks was never going to be long enough. Had all of the UK done a 2 week circuit break at the same time as the Welsh we would all be in lockdown again now. Northern Ireland proves that. There haven't been droves of English crossing the border to Northern Ireland messing up their 4 week lockdown.

Basically by following the "science" Wales cocked up. Same as England did with not following the science.

We wouldn’t have been. The idea was and has always been to bring the spread down, which the Welsh lockdown did. We might have needed another one, but not as quickly as now and probably not until after Christmas (when we will no doubt be having one anyway).

So labour not voting tonight so there are restrictions (they don't agree with ) are on place from tomorrow.

Whereas if they voted and won the vote , there would be an absolute urgency to then establish restrictions asap that was favoured by the majority.

So by not disagreeing , they will end up with the result they don't want?

We are having a 2 week lockdown in NI which is basically same as March bar schools are open. We had a 4 week "circuit breaker" thing before that as well, so basically we're in week 5 of restrictions which run until 12 Dec.

I've came round to the conclusion that the virus will continue to spread as much as schools are open, especially secondary schools. But closing schools indefinitely isn't a solution, so there are no good solutions. Locking down earlier or later makes little difference. The virus spikes again once restrictions are lifted regardless of when you have restrictions. At least over Christmas, schools will be closed so I reckon there won't be much of an affect on transmission overall.

People love someone to blame for all this, but there are tonnes of factors and now we're in the winter too. There's no way of getting the virus down to really low numbers until the vaccine comes. We just should have been far better at dealing with the virus by now and prepared for this wave.

So in Tier 2 you can only stay inside a restaurant/foody pub with those in your household or people in support bubble.

You can meet up to 6 people outside (park etc.) if maintaining SD.

Where do beer gardens fall?

That's deluded mate. Sorry.

Wales should have either extended by a further 2 weeks minimum across the board or at least regionally in the worst areas. Coming straight out was asking for trouble and they have it now and everybody is having to pay the price irrespective of the local infection rates.

All I can say is I'm glad I don't live in Wales with this guy calling the shots. England is bad enough.

Deluded would be slating people based solely on their politics, rather than taking the time to look at what they did and what the impact of it was.

I mean for example Wales *didn’t* come straight out of it; many restrictions were (and are) still in place once the lockdown was lifted:

Fully agree mate.

As regards last bit, you're right of course but most countries are suffering too at the moment.
