Indeed. I live in rural Northumberland, the second largest county with the lowest population density. We get lumped in with Newcastle/Sunderland.

It's boring saving lives. I wish I could be exciting and advocate people getting a deadly virus and passing it on to their families. That sounds such an edgy thing to do.

....I volunteered for on-line feed-back survey as part of Liverpool test pilot and said I feared the city would be used by this Government as evidential success of its disastrous track & trace system. I think this is happening.

Whilst wholesale testing helps, I don’t feel it’s the main reason why current rates have improved. Perhaps I’m cynical, but Tier2 categorisation might be more about the Government slant on its test strategy and to criticise Andy Burnham.

I agree.

The whole of the North West pretty much in tier 3 and Liverpool City Region has been rewarded with Tier 2.

It has the uncomfortable feeling of Anderson and Rotheram conniving with the Tories to get a favourable Christmas period and they've allowed our region to be used as the Tory poster boys.

Burnham has defo been tagetted to make him a whipping boy.

This leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

The big clue, was the extension of the furlough scheme until March.

Expect a lot of places to go under by then.

Unfortunately. I was discussing it with our pub manager this morning. We thought we would be tier 2 and decided to remain closed anyway. But we hoped that we may have been moved to tier 1 for Xmas. That’s obviously not going to happen now.....

Are they expecting 3 households to meet up over Christmas and not social distance btw? Like do they genuinely believe that will happen.
